Marvel Avengers™: Battle for Earth Demo Out Now
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – September 28th, 2012 – Ubisoft has announced that a demo for Marvel Avengers™: Battle for Earth is now available to download worldwide for Xbox LIVE® Gold members and will be accessible in one week for regular members.

Mario's Creators Answer Burning Questions About The Series
Game Informer have sat down with Mario makers Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka to answer some questions about the famous plumber
Fans of the Mario franchise are acquainted with its oddities. It’s a Japanese series about an Italian plumber who travels to a mystical land to eat mushrooms, throw fire, and stomp on turtles. We’ve all come to accept that. Despite our love of its wackiness, we still had some burning questions about the Mushroom Kingdom and its most famous inhabitant. When we sat down with series creator Shigeru Miyamoto and developer Takashi Tezuka, we wanted answers.
Some people claim that Mario and Luigi's last name is "Mario." Are their names officially Mario Mario and Luigi Mario?
Shigeru Miyamoto: This is an old story, but Hollywood did a film version of the Mario Bros. many years back. There was a scene in the script where they needed a last name for the characters. Somebody suggested that, because they were the Mario Bros., their last name should be Mario. So, they made him "Mario Mario." I heard this and laughed rather loudly. Of course, this was ultimately included in the film. Based on the film, that's [how] their names ended up. But, just like Mickey Mouse doesn't really have a last name, Mario is really just Mario and Luigi is really just Luigi.

Forza Horizon Season Pass Details Released: The “Forza Horizon” Season Pass is your action-packed ticket to automatic access to the “Forza Horizon” Expansion Pack (available Dec. 18, 2012), along with six game car packs, as they’re released through the next year. Each car pack will include six new vehicles and those who purchase the Season Pass will also get access to five exclusive season pass vehicles and the launch day pack.

Forza Horizon Music List Unveiled: Forza Horizon is set against the backdrop of a fictional automotive music festival – the Horizon Festival. This robust music list includes over 65 songs spanning more than 60 artists and was curated and created specifically for the game by Rob da Bank, a BBC DJ and creator of the Bestival music festivals in Europe. Players can tune into three distinct radio stations while playing “Forza Horizon,” each with a different style of music and each with its own authentic DJ giving players Horizon Festival updates.

Capcom Explain the connection between Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Wii U and 3DS
So you looking to get Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, but not sure if you should get Wii U Version or the 3DS version. Well by now you must know they do work together.
“We wanted people to play together. We know there are some people who want to play online. Unfortunately with the 3DS version you can’t do that. But we have made this feature so you can play together. You can have your friends bring their save data to your house and have a Monster Hunter party. One person will play on the big screen and three other people will play with their 3DS versions. People can continue their save data from what they had before and go back home and update their data on their Wii U.”

EA BRINGS INNOVATIVE MEDAL OF HONOR WARFIGHTER MULTIPLAYER BETA TO FANS IN EARLY OCTOBER

PlayStation Australia sets The World in Play unveiling its holiday games line-up
SYDNEY, September 24, 2012 – Sony Computer Entertainment Australia (SCE Aust.) officially launched its holiday games line up today, at a showcase event headlined by the local release of its highly anticipated new PlayStation®3 (PS3™), out this week.
The new, smaller and lighter PS3 models arrive on shelves nationally this Thursday September 27, and launches during a time of significant Australian commitment to the PlayStation® brand.
In a challenging climate, where the Australian interactive games industry was down in value for the first half of 2012, official NPD Group Australia data revealed that PlayStation 3 had achieved number one console sales position for the first half of the calendar year. Additionally, PS3 was the only games console in the Australian market to achieve double digit unit sales growth, year-on-year over the same period. PlayStation `hardware family’ combined - including PS3, PSP (PlayStation®Portable) and the recent release of PlayStation®Vita (PS Vita™) - accounted for a large 43% share of the hardware value derived within the Australian retail interactive games industry for the first six months of 2012.

NEW SMALLER AND LIGHTER PLAYSTATION®3 TO HIT THE WORLDWIDE MARKET
Sydney, September 19, 2012 – Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) today announced the new PlayStation®3 (PS3™) computer entertainment system (body colour: charcoal black / classic white), featuring a new design and a downsized form factor, will become available worldwide this holiday season. The new PS3 will come in several models including extended built in Hard Disk Drive (HDD) capacity of 500GB model (AUD $399.95) and a newly added 12GB flash memory model (AUD $299.95). Availability of models, prices and launch dates of the new PS3 system in each region are attached.
Completely redesigning the internal design architecture, the internal volume and weight of the new PS3 is reduced by more than half compared to the very first PS3 model with a 60GB HDD, and by 20% and 25% respectively compared to the current PS3. By adopting a sliding disk cover, the new PS3 continues with the characteristic sleek curved simple body design, which fits various places in the home and enables users to enjoy an array of entertainment content.
With the extra HDD capacity which has been extended from 320GB and 160GB, users can store and enjoy more and more entertainment content including games, music, photos, and video on the new PS3. In addition, the new PS3 with 12GB flash memory offers opportunities to experience the world of PlayStation® at an affordable price point.
