Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 Collectors Edition Announced.

Konami have announced a Collectors Edition for Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2, and shown off a new trailer.

Konami Digital Entertainment has used Halloween to update fans on key new elements to its vampiric Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and has outlined a series of pre-order incentives ahead of its February 28th release.

As attention turns to all things supernatural, Konami has released the packshot and a new themed trailer for the eagerly-awaited Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.

Named Dracula's Vengeance Trailer, Konami has issued an all-new trailer, focusing on Dracula as the game’s central anti-hero. Exploring the definitive vampire, the trailer focuses on the unwilling Dracula as he is charged with engaging an even more evil force: Satan himself.

Konami has also outlined the content for exclusive special editions and collectible content, available to pre-order.

• Leading the line is a ‘Dracula’s Tomb Premium Edition’ which is beautifully encased in a tomb casing, contains a copy of the game, four highly detailed miniature figurines designed by comic book artist Neil Googe (Judge Dredd, Wildcats), an A4 hardcover art book, and an exclusive Steelbook. This stunning item is limited to just 30,000 units across Europe and will be available in the UK exclusively via GAME.

• Konami has also created an alternative steelbook edition for pre-orders from Zavvi, which is encased in a metallic cover featuring an exclusive image of its central figure, Dracula. Those pre-ordering will also receive the alternate ‘Premium Dracula’ suit, a ‘Dark Dracula’ costume, or a ‘Relic Rune’ pack, that adds a wealth of relic items to the user’s inventory, dependent on where it is pre-ordered.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD Confirmed

Konami Digital Entertainment has announced it will release a timely all-new HD edition of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate to download for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 31st. I am attempting to confirm a local release now.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD has been developed by MercurySteam and is set 25 years after the events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, and acts as a precursor to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 which will be released across the same formats this Winter. The game will be available digitally via PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Arcade.

The HD update tells the story of Gabriel Belmont's descendants, Simon and Trevor Belmont, as they battle their own destiny only to discover their true, shocking fate. Trevor Belmont, a knight of the Brotherhood of Light, sets out to avenge the death of his mother by his father, who has returned from years of exile to take up residence in a mysterious castle. The powerful figure that was once Gabriel Belmont now stands as Dracula, a powerful vampire. Dracula has declared war upon the Brotherhood and thus the scene is set for a cataclysmic showdown between father and son.




In Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD, players take on the role of multiple characters, each of whom has unique abilities acquired whilst playing during the game's different eras. Featuring a huge array of combos and an intuitive strategic combat system, players can use their characters? weapons and magical abilities to take down anything in their path. The game offers huge, detailed levels and players will encounter enormous boss fights brought to vivid life within the HD presentation. 

Along with the HD upgrade and gameplay refinements, including online leaderboards and the much requested "Boss Rush Mode", anyone purchasing the game will also be able to access to an exclusive playable demo of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 to whet appetites for the highly anticipated conclusion of the saga - with fans now able to experience the entire Lords of Shadow story on home systems.

Konami has also announced that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD will also be released as part of a new Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Collection, available via retail on the same day. This compilation features the original Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, its DLC "Reverie" and "Resurrection" chapters, and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD. As such, newcomers to MercurySteam's beautifully-realised world can experience the full story of Dracula and the Belmonts - and will also gain early access to the first playable demo of the series climax: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as a download title on October 31st. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Collection will be released on the same day for the same formats.

KONAMI brings big hitters to Gamescom

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. will use this year’s gamescom event to showcase its popular Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and PES 2014 series.



gamescom is Europe’s premier gaming event, and takes place in Cologne from August 21st-25th. KONAMI will uses its 500 square meter stands on the show floor to offer visitors valuable hands-on time with its eagerly awaited wares. As such, keen gamers will be able to experience the fluidity and realism that the augmented FOX Engine brings to PES 2014, and get to grips with the sprawling 3D realms and epic battles that elevate the PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360® versions of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and the debuting PC Edition of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Ultimate Edition above all other action titles.



PES 2014 marks a new beginning for the popular football series, with the new game building upon a completely new system as the basis for its all-new gameplay, AI and control mechanics. New physics routines have created the most realistic control over the free-moving ball, while the new engine also allows for the best ever graphical acuity the series has seen.



Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 marks the welcome return of MercurySteam’s epic vampire saga, with anti-hero Gabriel displaced in time and left to fight Satan in modern times. A free-roaming camera, new combat mechanics and a fully open environment make Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 one of the most anticipated action games of the current generation. KONAMI will also use the gamescom event to make further content announcements regarding its Pro Evolution Soccer and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow brands.

PAX Australia 2013 - Ninja's, Vampires's and Soccer players.. oh my!

Local marketing group Mindscape were on hand to show off a few titles from both Tecmo Koei and Konami. I was able to get some hands on time with Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z and was pleasantly surprised by it.

For those that are not sure of what Yaiba is, you take control of a Ninja, that contains a few robot pieces, who fights the undead. Of course its not just as simple as that. Yaiba was killed by Ryu, star of the main Ninja Gaiden series, and now is seeking revenge. Watch this video to see the game in action.

While the game may seem like a simple hack and slash, it does have some strategy elements in there as well as a lot of humor.
