The streets of New York need some heroes – and they’re not picky about species! Activision Publishing, Inc. today announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™, a new, original video game developed by Magic Pockets, starring the butt-kicking, pizza-loving Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael. Set in the same universe as Nickelodeon's popular animated series, this side-scrolling action-brawler will bridge the gap between the show's first and second seasons, putting Turtle Power into fans’ hands.

True to classic TMNT-style gameplay and atmosphere, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™ is an energetic, blazing beat 'em up with four-person, local, drop-in/drop-out co-op (Wii™ system from Nintendo, Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system only) and features character upgrades, secondary items and multiple gameplay modes. It offers an authentic Turtles storyline, encompassing franchise-favourite characters and locations from the animated series, unfolding through animated cut scenes and in-game events.

TMNT: Here's Donnie!‏

Like his younger brother, Michelangelo, Donatello isn't particularly aggressive. More scholarly and contemplative than his Turtle brethren, Donnie prefers to think problems through rationally, looking for solutions that avoid unnecessary fighting.

Donatello is slower than his brothers on the battlefield – but also far more methodical. Donnie is a thinker, even in combat, with a knack for analysing situations quickly, giving him the largest window for counters. The long reach of his heavy bo staff makes him adept at sweeping up multiple enemies with each swing, generating considerable knockdown strength that bowls enemies over.

Ever the engineer, Donatello's tireless tinkering in his workshop allows him to produce some game-changing weapon upgrades unique to each Turtle. His own design – the Gravity Gauntlet – lets him bend the laws of science and send enemies skyward. Donnie's technical prowess also affords him the ability him to hack computers and security systems – perfect for when Raph and Mikey's “smash everything” approach to troubleshooting falls short.
