Take your Vengeance with the latest DLC for Call of Duty Black Ops 2

Fancy yourself a Call of Duty Multiplayer fan? Well its time to try and retain that status that you built over the past year, as Vengeance is now available.

Sydney, Australia – July 3, 2013 – Call of Duty®: Black Ops II Vengeance, the newest downloadable content (DLC) pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops II is available now, on the Xbox Live® online entertainment network from Microsoft. The record setting title from Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard (Nasdaq: ATVI), and its award-winning studio Treyarch, adds its third DLC pack, Vengeance, to its already action-packed season of downloadable content. Call of Duty: Black Ops II Vengeance delivers four new, diverse multiplayer maps that will challenge even the most seasoned players:

· “Cove,” – The stage is set for all-out conflict on this small, forgotten island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, with players battling it out amongst the wreckage of a jet that crash-landed during a smuggling operation gone wrong.

· “Detour,” – The action plays out atop a destroyed suspension bridge, high above an East Coast waterway, packed with scattered vehicles, exposed iron and collapsed pavement enables head-to-head action playing out on multiple levels.

· “Rush,” – Prepare for fast, close-quarters engagements in this paintball course turned full-combat arena, giving players new opportunities and challenges to use the cover to their advantage.

· “Uplink,” – In this re-imagined adaptation of the fan-favourite multiplayer map “Summit” from the original Call of Duty®: Black Ops, players clash deep in the rain-soaked jungles of Myanmar, high atop a hi-tech mountain facility.

With “Buried,” Treyarch yet again expands the canon of Zombies fiction in brain-twisting ways. Players meet up with old characters and will encounter new ones as they face off against the undead residents of an abandoned underground Old West mining town. A healthy arsenal of equipment and weapons that will be at players’ disposal, but with one very special addition – something so powerful it will also appear in all other Call of Duty: Black Ops II Zombies maps (with the purchase of Vengeance DLC): the Ray Gun Mark II.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II Vengeance is available now, first on Xbox Live for Xbox 360® game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 1200 Microsoft Points, with other platforms to follow.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is rated “MA15+” (Strong Violence and Coarse Language) by the Australian Classification Board. More information on Call of Duty: Black Ops II can be found athttp://www.callofduty.com/blackops2 or on www.facebook.com/codblackops. Fans can also follow @Treyarch on Twitter.

Pre-Order Call of Duty Ghosts and get an all new Multiplayer map

Gamers who pre-order the new Call of Duty game will get this new multiplayer map for free. The map takes place in a skyscraper that is on the edge of falling to pieces. Check out the images inside.

Full Press Release

Sydney, Australia – July 2, 2013 – The franchise that has defined a generation of gaming, and the one set to raise the bar yet again this November 5, is delivering a compelling, all-new pre-order incentive for Call of Duty: Ghosts’ highly anticipated multiplayer mode. Fans around the world that pre-order the game at participating retailers will receive the Free Fall downloadable bonus map that features the new dynamic map event mechanic, included with their copy of the game at launch. Free Fall ushers in the first details on how players will encounter the changing environments in the leading multiplayer experience on consoles.

As an example of just one of Call of Duty: Ghosts’ new dynamic map events, Free Fall drops players into a shattered skyscraper on the brink of collapse. Sideways staircases climb into the night sky, elevator shafts run along the ground, and what were once windows now form a terrifying glass floor, hundreds of feet above the city streets. Free Fall’s close-quarters combat and frenetic action are then thrown into overdrive as the ruined skyscraper continues to fall throughout the match. With every drop, the accompanying shockwaves cause further destruction, disrupting sightlines and constantly evolving paths and chokepoints as the map changes in real-time.

"Dynamic map events change the way players approach the game, and Free Fall does a great job illustrating this new mechanic,” said Mark Rubin, executive producer at Infinity Ward. “As the match progresses, the geometry of the world continues to change and players need to adjust on the fly or else. It’s a really fun new feature that adds layers of strategy and constantly evolving gameplay options for players. And this is just one of the many new approaches we’re putting into Ghosts’ multiplayer across the board. There’s so much more that we look forward to sharing in the weeks to come."

Call of Duty: Ghosts, published by Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard (Nasdaq: ATVI), and developed by Infinity Ward, the studio that created the original Call of Duty and the seminal Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® series, features an all-new world, story, characters and experiences, all powered by a new, next-gen engine. Call of Duty: Ghosts is not only a stunning leap forward for the mega-hit franchise, but also showcases what's possible on next generation consoles.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will release on Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PC on November 5. Call of Duty: Ghosts will also release on the Xbox One, the all-in one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStation® 4 later this year. Call of Duty: Ghosts has not yet been rated by the Australian Classification Board. Vengeance also serves up a new addition to the game’s esteemed Zombies experience with “Buried,” where the undead residents of an abandoned subterranean Old West mining town have come back to claim their home.

“When it’s difficult to see the line between playtesting and leisurely gaming around the studio, it’s a sure sign that we’ve created something fun with Vengeance,” said Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch. “From the four multiplayer maps to our new Zombies experience, “Buried,” Vengeancecontinues doing what we set out to accomplish from the very beginning of development on Call of Duty: Black Ops II: pushing the boundaries of fans’ expectations.”
