The Last Of Us Delayed

So, The Last Of Us, has been delayed a few weeks.

Once set to release on June 7th the game has now been given a release date of June 14th.

Here is what Naughty Dog had to to say about the delay.

"As a team we pride ourselves on setting a very high quality bar for every aspect of our games – gameplay, story, art, design, technology and more. We want to make sure The Last of Us raises that bar even further – for ourselves, and most importantly, our fans.
As we entered the final phase of development for The Last of Us, we came to realize just how massive Joel and Ellie’s journey is. But instead of cutting corners or compromising our vision, we came to the tough decision that the game deserved a few extra weeks to ensure every detail of The Last of Us was up to Naughty Dog’s internal high standards."

The Last of Us - Exclusive Demo

In just a few short months, The Last of Us will launch and put the fate of Joel and Ellie into your hands as they embark on a brutal journey across a post-pandemic United States.

Right now, 7th May 2013 might seem like a long way away, so to help assuage the excruciating wait we have some very exciting news to share with you. We’re announcing today that players who pick up God of War: Ascension will be able to play an exclusive demo of The Last of Us when it becomes available at a later date.

We’ve teamed up with the development crew at Santa Monica Studio to include access to a chapter of The Last of Us in every copy of God of War: Ascension, so you won’t have to wait too long to get your hands on two of the biggest games of the year. You’ll simply have to load your God of War: Ascension disc into your PS3 and find The Last of Us listing on the main menu. There, you’ll find details on how you can access The Last of Us demo, for free, as soon as it becomes available.

The Last of Us - Story Trailer Debut‏ & Release Date

One of the games i am looking forward to next year, "The Last of Us" got a release date over the weekend at the Spike Video Game Awards.

Sony Australia have confirmed that it will also be released in Australia on the same day. May 7th.




The Last of Us is a genre-defining experience blending survival and action elements to tell a character driven story about a population decimated by a modern plague. Cities are abandoned and being reclaimed by nature. Remaining survivors are killing each other for food, weapons and whatever they can find. Joel, a ruthless survivor, and Ellie, a young teenage girl who's braver and wiser beyond her years, must work together to survive their journey across what remains of the United States.
