Gran Turismo 6 gets Steelbook Anniversary Edition - Pre Order Now

 

SYDNEY, 28 June 2013 - Gran Turismo®6, the latest version of best-selling PlayStation® franchise, is now available for pre-order through select Australian retailers. Set for launch Christmas 2013, only on PlayStation®3 (PS3™), there are two options of the highly anticipated next iteration of ‘the Real Driving Simulator’ available to choose from.

Following on from the announcement of GT6™ for PlayStation 3 in May 2013 at an event celebrating 15 years of Gran Turismo held at Silverstone Circuit, the game’s legendary designer Kazunori Yamauchi released further details and a new trailer at PlayStation’s E3 press conference recently. With over 1,200 cars available at launch (including new FIA GT3 cars), new locations on a grander scale (such as a fascinating location featuring the Gemasolar solar power plant in Spain), new physics, new tyre, suspension and aerodynamic modeling, next generation 3D adaptive tessellation and an HDR dynamic range 50 times greater than GT5™, Gran Turismo 6 is an exciting prospect for the legion of GT fans as well as those new to the franchise.

Fans of the franchise now have a pre-order choice available to them that includes a Standard Edition version (AUD$99.95), and a celebratory ‘Gran Turismo® 6: Anniversary Edition’ ‘Steelbook’ version (AUD$114.95) that comes with one million in-game credits, 20 additional cars with livery and performance enhancement, as well as your own customised paint chips, race suit, helmet, avatar and a copy of Apex II.

In addition to ensuring they are the first to receive Gran Turismo 6, those pre-ordering the game will also benefit from in-game credits and/or a selection of exclusive cars that could include:

Pokémon Video Game Australian National Championships at PAX Australia

27^th June  2013 – This year, Pokémon fans from around Australia and New Zealand will have the chance to compete in the Pokémon Video Game Australian National Championships, to be held at the sold-out PAX Australia in Melbourne on the 20^th and 21^st July, 2013. 

Players will battle it out on the Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 games utilising the following rulesfor a chance to win a trip to Vancouver, Canada to compete in the 2013 Pokémon Video Game World Championships to be held on 9^th -11^th August, 2013. The following age divisions will apply:

•       Junior Division: Born in 2002 or later

•       Senior Division: Born in 1998, 1999, 2000, or 2001

•       Masters Division: Born in 1997 or earlier

Players who place in the top two of their age division will win flights, accommodation and invitation to the Pokémon Video Game World Championships, hosted by The Pokémon Company International.

Hopeful competitors without a ticket to the sold-out PAX Australia will have the opportunity to battle for the chance to win flights, accommodation and entry tickets to the expo plus additional standalone tickets to PAX at a number of Pokémon Meet-ups to be held around Australia in the coming weeks. Pokémon Battle Competitions will take place at the following Pokémon Meet-ups:

•       Perth (Supanova Pop Culture Expo) Sunday 30^th June

•       Melbourne (Deakin Edge – Federation Square)  Saturday 6^th July

•       Brisbane (Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre) Sunday 7^th July

•       Adelaide (AVCon Anime and Video Game Convention) Saturday 13^th July

•       Sydney (Luna Park) Sunday 14^th July

Players should familiarise themselves with the rules before attending a Pokémon Battle Competition at a Pokémon Meet-Up.
